Automatically forward trail-camera images to Venaris by email
Not every cellular trail camera exposes custom SMTP or FTP settings. Many manufacturer apps and cloud portals can, however, forward received captures automatically to a freely chosen email address.
When is this route useful?
The existing camera infrastructure stays intact: the camera and manufacturer app keep working as before while Venaris receives an additional copy for central analysis.
Setup
Four steps to analysis

Create the camera or manufacturer account as a source in Venaris.

Enable automatic email forwarding in the manufacturer portal.

Use the Venaris ingest address as the forwarding destination.

Send a test capture and verify camera identification and assignment.
Then Venaris takes over
Captures become events and wildlife data.
After ingestion, Venaris separates image noise from wildlife captures, classifies animal images probabilistically and groups related bursts into events. Image analysis is not metered with additional Venaris credits per photo.
