The principle

More images do not create a higher Venaris price per analysis.

Venaris separates camera transmission from image analysis. SIM, cellular, manufacturer-cloud or camera-app charges can still exist with the relevant provider. Venaris simply does not put a second per-photo analysis-credit meter on top.

Storage

The data remains. Raw images do not stay forever.

Trail-camera images become structured Venaris data: species, events, timestamps, camera context, corrections and other analysis information. Those generated datasets are stored without a time-based quantity limit. The underlying original images are currently deleted automatically after 3 months.

Physical trail-camera image files are currently retained for 3 months and then removed automatically from Venaris.

Analysis data: retained

The structured datasets created from those images remain available so historical events and analysis do not disappear with the raw JPEG.

Save important images yourself

If you want to keep an original image long term, download it before the retention period ends and store it in your own cloud, NAS or local drive.

Why this model?

Wildlife intelligence needs data – not endless raw-image storage.

The long-term value comes from structured events and patterns. A buck recorded on May 14 at 05:42 at Camera 7 remains useful as data even after the original JPEG is no longer stored in Venaris. If the image itself matters, it can be exported to your own archive first.

Important

Image flat rate means Venaris analysis – not free cellular transmission.

Depending on the camera, the manufacturer can still charge for SIM service, cloud access, data, coins or transmitted images. Venaris does not control those third-party charges. The image flat rate means Venaris itself does not add per-image analysis credits to the incoming image volume.
