Without cellular service

Import trail-camera images from an SD card into Venaris

Conventional non-cellular trail cameras also work with Venaris. Images are uploaded from the SD card or an exported folder and then enter the same AI and event-analysis workflow.

When is this route useful?

Manual import is useful for affordable cameras, older models or locations without cellular coverage. The camera does not need its own cloud, app or email function.

Setup

Four steps to analysis

  1. 01

Read the SD card or copy captures to your computer.

  2. 02

Select the corresponding camera in Venaris.

  3. 03

Upload the image folder or files through the import workflow.

  4. 04

Venaris handles relevance filtering, wildlife classification and event grouping.

Then Venaris takes over

Captures become events and wildlife data.

After ingestion, Venaris separates image noise from wildlife captures, classifies animal images probabilistically and groups related bursts into events. Image analysis is not metered with additional Venaris credits per photo.
