Analyse Reolink trail cameras with Venaris

Reolink Go Ranger PT is a particularly clean Venaris case: it supports direct FTP upload, allowing captures to flow into automated Venaris ingestion without manufacturer-cloud forwarding.

Integration path

Reolink Go Ranger PT → FTP/FTPS → Venaris

Reolink documents Go Ranger PT FTP settings including server address, port and credentials. Where supported, an encrypted option such as FTPS should be preferred.

  1. 01

Create Go Ranger PT as a camera in Venaris.

  2. 02

Configure the Venaris FTP destination and credentials in Reolink.

  3. 03

Upload a test capture and verify camera assignment.

  4. 04

New captures can then flow directly into Venaris analysis.

Limitations

What the integration does not promise

  • FTP availability can depend on hardware/firmware variant
  • Venaris does not replace live view or camera control
  • Prefer FTPS where available
